Level Up will be holding a free training workshop on accessing services and self-advocacy on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in Oroville, CA from 4pm - 5pm.  Attendees will be trained on how to access regional center services, mental health services and how to be their own self-advocates as they learn about programs and services that are available to them.  Space is limited and registration is required.  Training will be conducted in Spanish and Hmong.  Contact us for more information....

Level Up will be offering a free workshop on Cultural Competency open to individuals working for a city or county agency or organization in either Shasta or Tehama Counties on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 2pm - 3:30pm in Redding, CA.  The workshop will focus on developing your understanding of what it means to be culturally competent and improving your ability to work with diverse populations in the northstate.  This workshop is intended for anyone who is just starting on the road to becoming more culturally competent, and those who want a refresher or want to learn more about working with diverse communities in these counties.  Registration is now open until June 17th.  CLICK HERE to register.  Contact us for more information....

Join us in celebrating this month-long recognition of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Month!  The month of May commemorates and pays tribute to the contributions and accomplishments of Asians, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders in the U.S.  Initially signed into law in 1979 as a week-long recognition, the observance was extended into a month long celebration in 1990.  Level Up is proud to be serving this community and sharing the rich heritage of their AANHPI staff with the northstate....

Level Up will be in Sacramento on April 30th for Mobilizing for Health Equity Advocacy Day along with community partners from throughout the state to meet with our legislators and advocate for initiatives crucial to health equity.  We are excited to be a part of such an impactful effort that will amplify our voices in the commitment towards health equity....

Join us at the Community Housing Improvement Program's free event, Dia del nino, at Vista Verde Apartments in Chico on Tuesday, April 30th from 5pm - 7pm.  Enter the children's parade in the costume of your favorite super hero and win prizes, and enjoy face painting, raffles and other surprises.  Get information on free local resources and look for Level Up!  Spanish language assistance will be available.  Contact us for more information....

Join us at the Butte County Special Education Local Plan's (SELPA) inaugural Parent University & Resource Fair on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 9am to noon at Bidwell Junior High School in Chico.  Attend workshops on parenting and educating students with disabilities, connect with parents and community providers, and get resource information for services available throughout Butte County.  Childcare will be provided with food and activities.  Stop by the Level Up booth and get information on local resources and programs.  Registration is required.  Contact us for more details....

Level Up's Youth Leadership Program is open to youth between the ages of 12 - 18 years of age in middle school or high school.  Program participants will learn about leadership, public speaking, mental health and wellness, preparing for high school and college, advocacy and more!  Program graduates will receive a new free iPad.  Contact us for more information....
