Show your support on important bills by asking your local legislator to support them and/or submitting testimony in support or opposition of bills....

Join us in celebrating the Lao New Year, "Sabai Dee Pi Mai Lao" on Saturday, April 12th from 3pm - 10pm in Redding, CA at the Senior Citizens Hall.  Experience the Lao culture, sample traditional foods, listen to Lao music, enjoy traditional dance performances, and more.  All proceeds will go to the Redding Lao Temple.  Look for Level Up and get information on free local resources for you and your family.  Language assistance for Lao, Hmong and Mien will be available, inquire for other languages....

The Shasta County Mien Elder Community will be hosting their annual reunion for the Iu Mien on Saturday, March 29th in Shasta Lake.  Mien from all over the northstate and even out of state will be reuniting for a joy filled evening of live music, cultural foods and reminiscing.  Look for Level Up and get information on free local resources.  Language assistance for Mien will be available....

The Shasta County Department of Child Support Services will be holding their drive-thru Annual Winter Coat Event this Saturday, December 7th from 9am until supplies run out, at the Redding Civic Auditorium parking lot, 700 Auditorium Drive.  Children must be present--each child will receive one coat while supplies last.  Look for Level Up and get information on free local resources and programs.  Spanish, Hmong, Mien, Thai and Laotian language assistance will be available....

Level Up will be offering a free workshop on Cultural Competency open to individuals working for a city or county agency or organization in Butte County on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 10am - 11am in Oroville, CA.  The workshop will focus on developing your understanding of what it means to be culturally competent and improving your ability to work with diverse populations in the northstate.  This workshop is intended for anyone who is just starting on the road to becoming more culturally competent, and those committed to building respectful relationships with people from diverse communities.  Registration is now open until December 13th.  Contact us for more information....
