Level Up Norcal was honored to be selected as United Way of Northern California's Toast to Equity award recipient  in the nonprofit category.  Recipients must demonstrate a strong commitment to equity through their practices, civic engagement, and achievements. Those nominated in each category demonstrate meaningful work in servicing communities that are sometimes underserved, such as economically challenged women, people of color, indigenous populations, people with disabilities, the LGBTQ+ community, the rural poor, and others.  Level Up was honored to be nominated and then selected from such an eclectic group of finalists....

Join Level Up at Siskiyou County Public Health's National Public Health Week Celebration on Tuesday, April 4th at 810 S. In honor of Cesar Chavez Day, SEIU 2015 is co-sponsoring a drive-thru donation drop-off benefiting local farmworkers on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 900 Locust Street, Redding, CA from 2pm – 4pm.  Goods and/or funds/gift cards will be accepted. Donated goods may be NEW - hoodies, beanies, ball caps, gloves, socks, bandanas, masks, water containers, lunch bags, rice, beans, sticky rice, flour, sugar, masa, canned tuna, fruit, cactus, Spanish kids books, soccer balls, games, coloring books and crayons and more.  Food by Tamales Colima, Churrifico, and Mark’s Salsa, free goodie bags and a free drawing for those donating! Stop by the Level Up booth at Sacramento's 2023 Iu Mien Festival on Saturday, April 1st from 10am - 4pm at Hiram Johnson High School on 6874 14th Avenue.  The festival celebrates the Iu Mien culture, identity and heritage.  Admission and parking is free.  There will be booths with food, resources and merchandise as well as a parade, basketball and volleyball tournament, live music and performers.  Level Up will be giving out free face masks, hand sanitizer, and other goodies.  Stop by and get information on local resources for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.  Mien language assistance will be available.  See you all there!...
