Join KIXE PBS for Mr. Rogers Day at Anderson River Park on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 9am - 1pm.  In celebration of the legacy of Mister Rogers, there will be a Cardigan Fun Walk, games, crafts, treats, food trucks and more!  The event is free and open to everyone.  Look for Level Up and get information on free local resources and programs.  Spanish, Hmong and Mien language assistance will be available.  Hope to see you there!...

Level Up NorCal is hosting a Backpack & School Supplies Giveaway for K – 12 in Orland on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 10am - 12pm.  Each student will get a backpack and selection of school supplies and we will also have PPE and snacks available.  Parents can get information on free resources and programs available near them.  Supplies are limited, registration required.  Language assistance in Spanish and Mien available....

Level Up will be in Oroville today at Nelson Middle School from 2pm - 3pm and at Gridley's Manuel Vierra Park from 4pm - 5pm giving out N95 face masks, regular face masks, and water for those affected by the Oroville fire.  Supplies are limited and distribution is until supplies are gone.  Stay safe everyone....

Level Up will be holding a free training workshop on accessing services and self-advocacy on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in Oroville, CA from 4pm - 5pm.  Attendees will be trained on how to access regional center services, mental health services and how to be their own self-advocates as they learn about programs and services that are available to them.  Space is limited and registration is required.  Training will be conducted in Spanish and Hmong.  Contact us for more information....

Level Up will be offering a free workshop on Cultural Competency open to individuals working for a city or county agency or organization in either Shasta or Tehama Counties on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 2pm - 3:30pm in Redding, CA.  The workshop will focus on developing your understanding of what it means to be culturally competent and improving your ability to work with diverse populations in the northstate.  This workshop is intended for anyone who is just starting on the road to becoming more culturally competent, and those who want a refresher or want to learn more about working with diverse communities in these counties.  Registration is now open until June 17th.  CLICK HERE to register.  Contact us for more information....

Join us in celebrating this month-long recognition of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Month!  The month of May commemorates and pays tribute to the contributions and accomplishments of Asians, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders in the U.S.  Initially signed into law in 1979 as a week-long recognition, the observance was extended into a month long celebration in 1990.  Level Up is proud to be serving this community and sharing the rich heritage of their AANHPI staff with the northstate....

Level Up will be in Sacramento on April 30th for Mobilizing for Health Equity Advocacy Day along with community partners from throughout the state to meet with our legislators and advocate for initiatives crucial to health equity.  We are excited to be a part of such an impactful effort that will amplify our voices in the commitment towards health equity....
