Congratulations to Level Up's own Karen Lee as the first recipient of the Celebration of Heroes "Cultural Hero" Award. Karen works tirelessly with underserved communities where language and cultural barriers are obstacles to equitable access, and serves on multiple committees on equity and diversity. Celebration of Heroes is a new program to recognize and spotlight those who embrace inclusion as selected by Far Northern Regional Center and the State Council on Developmental Disabilities....
Level Up NorCal will be hosting a FREE vaccine clinic on Saturday, June 12th in Redding from 10am - 1pm for anyone wanting to get vaccinated. The Pfizer vaccine will be offered to anyone 12 years old and up.
Language assistance available for Hmong, Mien and Spanish.
Those getting a vaccine will also get meat and veggies, a 20 lb bag of rice, a $10 gift card, face masks, hand sanitizer, be eligible for raffle prizes and other goodies. California is also offering $50 gift cards to the first 2 million residents to be vaccinated after May 27th.
Attendees not getting a vaccine will get face masks, hand sanitizer, meat and veggies. Also get information on regional center services and guidelines for COVID-19 prevention and safety. Pre-registration required. Contact us today to register....
