Level Up NorCal will be providing an in-person three hour training on Cultural Competency on Thursday, June 16, 2022 in Sacramento.  Cultural competence is the ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures. Today, many industries and organizations require annual training on cultural competency. Through a combination of classroom learning and interactive modules, attendees will examine concepts of culture, its impact on DEI, and implicit bias.  Attendees will increase understanding of other cultures, develop mindfulness towards cultural competency, and get tips for working with diverse communities.  Contact us for more information....

Join us in celebrating this month-long recognition of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month!  The month of May commemorates and pays tribute to the contributions and accomplishments of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the U.S.  Initially signed into law in 1979 as a week-long recognition, the observance was extended into a month long celebration in 1990.  This year, in celebration of APA Month, Level Up is partnering with Tengx Center of the Northstate Inc. to open a pop-up exhibit, the 12 Clans, in honor of the Iu Mien of Shasta County.  The month-long exhibit will feature the largest collection of Iu Mien crafts, cultural items and cultural dress open to the public for free.  Contact us for more information on how you can visit this upcoming exhibit....
